I Accidentally Forgot to Publish My Album on Bandcamp 😅

So… apparently Bandcamp does not automatically publish your album on release day unless you manually make it public.

Which is something I discovered 2 weeks AFTER my album release.

And somehow, despite me accidentally leaving the album hidden like a secret side quest, two amazing supporters still managed to buy the album ‘Made by You’.

One was someone I already knew.
The other was a completely new supporter.

First of all:
thank you.
Second of all:
I am so sorry 😭

I already contacted both of them, but I honestly thought this story was too funny not to share.

This is my first full independent album release as Ella Anchor, so apparently I unlocked the “independent artist accidentally forgets to publish album” achievement.

The good news is:

🎵 Made by You is now officially available on Bandcamp.

Why Bandcamp Matters for Independent Artists

Even though my music is available on streaming platforms, Bandcamp is still one of my favorite places for music discovery and support.

Unlike traditional streaming platforms, Bandcamp allows listeners to directly support independent musicians through:

  • digital album purchases
  • optional supporter messages
  • higher-quality audio downloads

For independent artists like me, that kind of support genuinely makes a difference.

And honestly, Bandcamp listeners tend to really love music.

They explore albums deeply.
They read lyrics.
They collect physical editions.
They care about the story behind the songs.

That means a lot to me because Made by You was created as a full album experience, not just isolated singles.

About “Made by You” by Ella Anchor

Made by You is my debut album as Ella Anchor.

The album blends dark pop, alternative rock, piano, electronic textures, cinematic elements, and emotional storytelling into a project centered around:

  • identity
  • pressure
  • emotional survival
  • self-protection
  • boundaries
  • transformation
  • finding strength

Some songs are heavier and energetic.
Others are quieter and more reflective.

But together, they tell one larger story.

If you’ve ever felt caught between who you are and who the world expects you to become, this album was written for you.

Booklet

Don’t forget that by purchasing the album through Bandcamp, you’ll get access to the digital booklet!

Reminder for Fellow Independent Artists 😅

If you’re releasing music on Bandcamp:
double-check that your album is actually public on release day.

Learn from my mistake.
